COMPLETE RESULTS
LEXINGTON, Va. – The Radford women's track & field program put together a strong showing as the Highlanders returned from the academic break for the first meet of the new calendar year with the VMI Team Challenge on Saturday.
The meet was highlighted by a career and record-setting day by
Raichelle Cornelius to go along with three event wins, 12 podium finishes and 11 personal best performances overall.

NOTABLES
- Cornelius had a huge meet, highlighted by her second-place finish in the 60-meter final. The junior blazed the track in 7.85 to claim second overall, a mark that ranks 10th all-time in the event in program history to go with currently being seventh in the Big South Conference. Cornelius also took second in the 200-meter dash as she crossed the line in 25.52. The showing ranks her third in the conference in the event overall.
- To go with the individual success, Cornelius also teamed up with
Jordan Jackson,
Jaslyne Robinson and
Jeylah Hamrick to win the 4x400-meter relay with a mark of 4:00.00. The time was the 171st fastest in all of NCAA Division I track & field.
- The squad of
Logan Babbs,
Mya Rosser and
Jaylen Rosser put on an absolute show in the women's weight throw. Babbs won the event with a personal best toss of 14.93 meters while Mya and Jaylen were right behind in second and third at 13.95 meters and 13.78 meters, respectively. Babbs is now ranked fourth in the Big South while Jaylen improved to seventh overall.
- Babbs and
Mya Rosser weren't done as they set personal records in the shot put. Babbs came in second overall at 11.57 meters while Rosser was right behind at 11.42 meters. Both performances went for personal bests. The duo is now ranked sixth and seventh in the Big South.
- Along with the relay win, Jackson also finished first in the women's 400-meter race with a time of 1:00.33. Her mark is currently the seventh best in the Big South in the event so far this indoor season.
- Hamrick added two individual third place finishes in both the 60-meter final (personal best of 7.90) and 200-meter dash (PR of 25.92) to round out another standout day. Her 200 time is slotted in at fifth in the conference while her 60 time is now 11th.

Leah Moye posted a personal best leap of 10.63 meters in the triple jump. The performance was good for fourth at the meet and third in the conference.

The Highlanders will get right back to it with the two-day Virginia Tech Invitational that runs Friday, January 17 through Saturday, January 18 inside Rector Field House right down the road in Blacksburg.
