Men’s Basketball wins crucial road match at Gardner-Webb

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – The Radford men's basketball program took to the road and picked up a crucial conference victory over Big South foe Gardner-Webb by a 63-56 margin inside Paul Porter Arena on Wednesday night.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- David Early is turning it on at just the right time as the senior guard led the Highlanders in points for the second straight outing. Early finished with a team-best 14 points to go with two assists, a rebound and a steal. He went 4-of-9 from the floor (.444), 2-of-5 from three (.400) and a perfect 4-of-4 at the charity stripe. Early is now averaging 18 points per contest over his last two games played.
- Ibu Yamazaki also made his presence felt in a big way with 13 points, one board, one helper and a game and career-best three blocks. He also set a season-high with six made field goals off a 6-of-9 night from the field (.667). It was Yamazaki's highest point total since November 8, 2024 and the outburst was also his second highest output recorded so far this season.
- Josiah Harris made it three Highlanders in double-figures with 11 points along with seven rebounds and a rejection.
- TJ NeSmith was highly efficient with seven points and eight rebounds. The eight boards also tied his career-best in the category.
- Brandon Maclin chipped in six points, five rebounds and two assists.
- Jarvis Moss (four points, three helpers, two boards, one steal), Truth Harris (four points, two rebounds) and Isaiah Gaines (four points, one assist, one block) also made an impact on the scoresheet.
- Jonas Sirtautas pulled down six rebounds in the win.
- As a squad, Radford was near-perfect on free throws with a mark of 13-of-14 at the line (92.9 percent).
- The Highlanders dropped in 34 points in the paint and another 34 points off the bench.

The Highlanders return home for their final regular season contest of the year as Radford plays host to Charleston Southern on Saturday, March 1. Tip is set for 2 PM ET inside the Dedmon Center and the contest will feature a special Senior Day pre-game celebration.
