TYSONS, Va. – The Radford baseball program returned to its winning ways with a dominating 11-2 victory over Georgetown in game two of the weekend series inside Capital One Park on Saturday afternoon.

THE BREAKDOWN
- It was a complete team effort in the win on both offense and defense for Radford.
- To start with the offense,
Noah Toole blasted his third homer of the year off a 1-for-3 effort. He finished with two RBI, a stolen base and a game-best three runs scored.

Matthew McGovern had a career day at the dish. He went 2-for-4 with two RBI and a run. The hit and RBI totals were both a season high for the freshman.

Eli Hudgins also chipped in two RBI with a 1-for-3 showing. He too came around to score a single time for the Highlanders.

Jhonkeanu Perez posted his sixth multi-hit game of the season (2-for-4) to go along with two runs scored and a RBI.

Hunter Keen kept his hot campaign rolling with another 2-for-4 performance that included a RBI and run. It was already his 12th contest with multiple hits, and his fourth straight game with two-plus base knocks.

Breckin Nace came around to score twice with a 1-for-2 afternoon. He also drew a game-high two walks.

Tyler Sparrer (1-for-5, one run scored) and
Corbin Grantham both knocked in a run apiece, respectively to round out the offensive attack.

Carter Richardson (1-for-1) also registered a base knock.
- To finally get to the mound,
Joshua Milleville improved to 3-1 on the young campaign with a quality start. He fired six strong innings with just six hits and two earned runs against (both earned). Milleville also punched out three Georgetown batters.

Clay Clatterbaugh added a scoreless frame out of the pen with a strikeout.
- While the game was out of reach for a save,
Ben Keefe was near perfect to close things out. He threw the last two scoreless innings and finished with six punch outs to go against just a single hit against. Every out he recorded came via the strikeout.
- It was already the eighth time so far this season that Radford finished with 10-plus runs in a game.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- It was all Highlanders from the start as Radford dropped eight runs in the top of the first to jump out to an 8-0 lead.
- The first three Highlanders all reached base to load them up with no outs in the dominate frame.
- The scorecard for the inning then went as follows: Ward sacrifice fly (one RBI), Sparrer fielder's choice (one RBI), Hudgins bases loaded walk (one RBI), McGovern single to right (two RBI), Grantham ground out (one RBI), Perez double (one RBI) and Keen double (one RBI).
- Thirteen Radford batters reached the plate in the opening inning. The Highlanders also chased the Georgetown starter after just seven batters.
- Hudgins added another run for the Highlanders in the top of the second off an infield single that plated Perez to make it a 9-0 game.
- The Hoyas pushed two runs across in the bottom of the fourth to make it a 9-2 game.
- The Highlanders got the two runs back in the top of the seventh off Toole's two-run shot to seal the 11-2 victory.
