Blevins leads Men’s Golf to fifth-place finish in regular-season finale at Irish Creek Collegiate

KANNAPOLIS, N.C. – Channing Blevins led the way with an eighth-place finish as an individual as the Radford men's golf program concluded its regular season with a strong fifth-place performance at App State's Irish Creek Collegiate at the Club at Irish Creek course across Monday and Tuesday.
 
The standout showing was the best team finish for the Highlanders during the 2024-25 campaign.

NOTABLES
- A rainy and stormy Monday turned what was supposed to be a 36-hole opening day into an abbreviated and wet 18-hole outing. Tuesday's final round also consisted of 18 holes for a grand total of 36 holes for the tournament.
- Channing Blevins led the way for the Highlanders with a top 10 finish at tied for eighth overall. He posted a +1 to open the tournament on Monday and followed it up with an even round of par to close things out on Tuesday. Blevins ranked tied for 15th at the competition with three birdies and tied for 21st with 12 holes of par.
- Louie Stott and Bobby Dudeck both tied for 31st overall at +7, respectively. Stott posted rounds of 72 and 75 while Dudeck finished at 74 and 73. The duo each posted two birdies apiece. Dudeck also finished with 12 pars while Stott was right behind with 10. 
- Benson Blevens was next in a tie for 58th at +11. He finished with 11 pars over the two-day tournament.
- Jack Urban (tied for 84th, +16) and Tate Corbett (tied for 86th, +17) rounded out the scoring attack for the Highlanders.
- Radford finished as the top Big South program at the competition, besting Presbyterian by four strokes and Charleston Southern by 16 strokes.
- The Club at Irish Creek is a prestigious course that has hosted PGA Tourn qualifying rounds annually since 1998 and also hosts the North Carolina Open.

UP NEXT
Radford will look to take its strong momentum into championship season with the Big South Championships set for Sunday, April 20 through Wednesday, April 23 at Fripp Island Golf Resort in Fripp Island, South Carolina. The first three days of the championship will feature stroke play while the final round will consist of match play competition.
