Cheney and Gee Tabbed to Big South All-Conference Awards Lists

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Big South Conference announced Thursday afternoon that women's lacrosse standouts Mady Cheney and Evie Gee had been named the conference's postseason awards lists.

Cheney, named to the Big South's honorable mention all-conference team, continued to produce as one of the Highlander's most reliable goal-scorers in 2025. The junior tied her career-high for goals with 35, a team-high, while also scoring four assists for 39 total points. Cheney also made a habit of coloring in the box score all season with 29 ground balls, 13 caused turnovers, and 74 draw controls. Cheney's 176 career draw controls rank third-most in program history.

Gee, named to the Big South's all-academic squad, has earned a 4.0 GPA while working towards her major in Communication Sciences and Disorders at Radford. The junior has been a member of the Dean's List all her semesters at Radford as well as Big South Presidential Honor Roll. She has come off the bench becoming a pivotal member of Radford's offense, scoring a career-high 15 goals and 13 assists this season. Gee shot .441 with a .765 shot on goal clip as one of Radford's most efficient shooters.
