Men’s Soccer Falls in Rainy Match with Campbell

RADFORD, Va. – The Radford men's soccer program fell in a tough final Tuesday afternoon giving up three second half goals to fall 3-0 to Campbell.

Tuesday's early start in a match moved up against Campbell was a slow start for both squads in a quiet first half. Battling the off and on rain, neither Radford nor Campbell saw many good scoring opportunities. Campbell led the shots battled 7-4, with four of those shots coming on goal. After 45 minutes, the game remained deadlocked at 0-0.
 
Going into the second half, Radford made a slew of substitutions to an already new-look starting 11. Just eight minutes into the second half, Campbell scored their winning goal. The Fighting Camels would add strikes in the 70th and 88th minutes to fully pull away in the eventual 3-0 finish.

The Highlanders will look to get back on track this upcoming weekend when they return to Big South play. On Saturday, October 4th, Radford visits Winthrop for a 2 p.m. kick on ESPN+.
