Men's Golf Season Comes to End at Big South Championship

FRIPP ISLAND, S.C. – The Radford Men's Golf program saw their season come to a close Tuesday afternoon at the conclusion of stroke play at the Big South Championship.

Kieran McCarthy was once again the front runner for the Highlanders in the third round shooting even to finish the tournament tied for 17th place. McCarthy once again found success in the back nine playing even with one birdie. The senior saw himself tied for the best finish on the team at four-over for the tournament.

Will Giaquinto would stay in second place for the Highlanders as he was also able to shoot even across the day. Giaquinto had some trouble on holes 7 and 8 but looked good over the back nice as he shot one-under across those nine holes. Giaquinto finished in third place on the team overall at five-over and tied 22nd place across the field.

CJ Peterson and Tate Corbett would be the last two Highlanders to score points for the team. Peterson would go two-over on the day to end the tournament at four-over and tied for the team's best. Corbett was solid again with two birdies on holes 1 and 9. A back nine with one bogie saw Corbett shoot two-over on the day and finish at six-over across the tournament and end tied for 25^th place.
