Started in 27 of 28 games played...Hit .321 with three doubles and one triple... Had seven games with multiple hits, including 3 for 4 performance in win at Western Carolina on Mar. 12... Recorded walk-off single in seventh inning of 4-3 victory over Pittsburgh on Feb. 21.
2015
Started all 48 games appeared in...made 13 starts at first base and 35 at third base...batted .273 with a team-best 14 doubles, which ranked second in the Big South Conference...notched three home runs, tying her output from 2014...had career-best 25 RBI...39 hits in 2015 bettered her total from 2013...had a career day with three runs against George Mason (Feb. 14)...tallied three RBI against Charleston Southern (March 28)...had 10 multi-hit games, including two different stretched that covered three games...had a team-best 17 extra base hits...named to the Big South All-Academic Team...finished the season No. 7 in RU history with 732 putouts.
2014
Started 45 of 46 contests played at first base... Selected to Big South All-Academic Team... Registered four doubles, career-high three RBI with 17 RBI and 14 runs... Six multple-hit games, including a 3-for-3 performance against Ball State (3/14)... Went 2-for-3 with a home run and career-best three RBI in both ends of a doubleheader at Winthrop (3/30)... Recorded two five-game hitting streaks.
2013
Started in 54 of 55 contests, the majority coming at first base... Named to Big South All-Freshman Team... Collected 38 hits, five doubles, two home runs, 17 RBI and 17 runs... Launched first collegiate home run versus Longwood and also left the yard at Virginia Tech... Recorded career-best four-hits (4-5) with a double, run and RBI against Indiana State (Georgia Bulldog Invitational)... It was the only four-hit game by a Highlander during the season... Also, posted mulit-hit effort, all on the road, at then-No. 23 Georgia, Liberty, Coastal Carolina, Presbyterian... Went 4-for-4 with double, two RBI, two runs and a walk in doubleheader at Presbyterian... First collegiate hit, RBI and run came against Wagner (Cougar Classic).

2012 second-team all-state... Two-time first-team all-district and All-Suburban League honors… Copley’s two-time Defensive Player of the Year (2010 & 2011) and team MVP; 2011& 2012 Offensive Player of the Year for the Indians… Earned second-team all-league in 2009 and 2010 and honorable mention all-district as a sophomore… Also lettered in soccer... Scholar-Athlete... Member of 18u Beverly Bandits (2010-12) and helped team to third place finish at the 2011 PGF Nationals.

Full name is Casey Dee Burns... Interior design and business major... Casey and her older sister Peyton are the daughters of Troy and Lea Burns.
