Shelton Moss is entering his second season as an athletics communications assistant at Radford. Moss was hired in September of 2021, and serves as the primary contact for men’s soccer and baseball.
In his first year in Radford, Moss was the SID for volleyball and baseball. In that role, he enhanced the coverage of Radford athletics on social media, providing in-game tweets and designing photo and video graphics, while writing feature stories on student-athletes, designing game notes, and working as the official stat-keeper for baseball.
Moss also has experience broadcasting, having served as the play-by-play voice of the Harrisonburg Turks, a collegiate summer league baseball team, for the past two summers. He occasionally fills in for color commentary on Radford broadcasts alongside the voice of the Highlanders, Rick Watson.
A native of Richmond, Va., Moss graduated from Virginia Tech in May of 2021, earning his bachelor’s degree in communications with a focus in Sports Media and Analytics.
