Concluded career as one of Radford’s most prolific scorers in program history … Led squad in goals (9) and points (21) for second consecutive season … Also totaled the most shots (57) and shots on goal (27) on team … Finished seventh on the all-time game-winning goals list with nine in career … Led conference in shots, shots on goal, goals, game-winning goals, and points … Named Big South Midfielder of the Year and First Team All-Big South at conclusion of season … Honored as Big South Offensive Player of the Week on October 20 after scoring three goals in two games the week prior (2 vs. High Point on Oct. 15, 1 at Winthrop on Oct. 18) … Her two goals vs. High Point on Oct. 15 was her third-career multi-goal performance in her career … Scored first goal of season on Aug. 21 vs. Emory & Henry … Added assists in back-to-back games vs. Shepherd (Aug. 31) and vs. Morehead State (Sept. 7) … Scored seven goals in seven games from Sept. 24 to Oct. 29 … Added game-winning goals in four of seven conference wins.
AS A JUNIOR (2024)
Became one of Radford’s premier scorers in her junior campaign setting career-highs for goals (10), points (23), shots (34), shots on goal (25), game-winners (2) and minutes played (1,479) … At the conclusion of the season was named to the Big South’s first-team all-conference and her second all-tournament nod … Also named to the VaSID All-State team … Led Radford’s offense in points and goals … Had Radford’s first multi-goal effort in the 2024 opener resulting in a 4-1 win over William & Mary (Aug. 15) … Netted the game-winner in a pivotal conference match against High Point (Oct. 23) … Also had a multi-goal effort, the only Highlander to have two in 2024, against South Carolina State (Aug. 25) … Scored goals in both of Radford’s postseason matches against UNC Asheville (Nov. 2) and High Point (Nov. 7) … Named Big South Offensive Player of the Week for Aug. 20.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2023)
Was a vital part in Radford’s postseason run in her sophomore season appearing in all 20 matches and earning a career-high 18 starts … Scored three goals and three assists on the season good for nine points … After scoring in the season opener against Emory & Henry, Short saved her best for last scoring a goal in Radford’s 2-1 Big South semifinal win over Charleston Southern and then earning the game-winning goal in Radford’s 2-1 Big South championship win over USC Upstate … Was named to the all-tournament team as well as Tournament MVP for her efforts … Also recorded assists against Hampton, UNC Asheville, and Charleston Southern in the conference semifinals … Totaled 69 minutes played in Radford’s NCAA First Round meeting with #1 Clemson.
AS A FRESHMAN (2022)
Provided a veteran essence in her collegiate debut for the Highlanders playing in all 20 games, starting in 13 and totaling 1,214 minutes played … Was named to the Big South all-freshmen team … Earned her first weekly award, Freshman of the Week, on September 19th … Her 1,214 minutes played were most by all freshmen on the team … Her 10 points from four assists and three goals ranked fourth overall for Radford … Provided her first of two game-winners at Hampton in a 2-1 win on August 25th which was also her first collegiate goal … Provided her second game-winner of the season leading the offense in a 5-2 win at Presbyterian on September 24th … Totaled five shots in Radford’s Big South Championship win over Gardner-Webb on November 6th … Played 64 minutes in the Highlanders NCAA First Round appearance at Duke on November 12th.
