Davis Fox

Fox is entering his fifth season with the women's soccer program and his second as the associate head coach after spending the previous three seasons as an assistant coach.

With the Highlanders Fox has helped guide the Highlanders to further heights as a member of the 2022 and 2023 Tournament Championship and Regular Season Championship squads.

Before joining the Highlanders, Fox aided UNC Asheville in the development of multiple all-conference honorees and a marked improvement in the athleticism and tactical identity of the program. He also acted as the recruiting coordinator, drawing top-level talent from across the nation to western North Carolina.

Prior to his time at UNC Asheville, Fox was a volunteer coach at the University of Rhode Island, where he aided the Rams in their transition to a new staff and style of play. During his time in Rhode Island, Fox also served as a director for the New England Futbol Club's Southeast region, where he oversaw youth development and the Junior Academy.

Fox made his debut in collegiate coaching as the first assistant of a Flagler College women's soccer program which reached a program-high fifth ranking in the United Soccer Coaches national ranking in 2017. In his first season at Flagler, the team set a then-program record for wins and appeared in its first NCAA tournament, advancing to the second round.

In his tenure at Flagler, Fox coached five Peach Belt all-conference award winners. Fio Fustagno earned All-Region Second Team honors, and Charlene Nowotny was chosen as the Saints' first NSCAA All-American, making the first team.

Before coaching collegiate soccer, Fox served as the assistant strength and conditioning coach at Flagler and coached club soccer in his home state of Indiana with Delaware County FC. In his time at DCFC, he developed players of all ages, sat on the board of directors, and held the Assistant Director of Coaching position.

Fox holds a B.S. in exercise science from Ball State University and earned his Master of Arts in Sport Coaching through the University of Denver. Fox maintains his USSF C License and his United Soccer Coaches Advanced National Diploma as well as being a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through NSCA.
