CROSS COUNTRY- Competed in two meets, set 5K PR at the 2023 Upstate Invitational. INDOOR- Competed five times... A member of the distance medley relay team that placed first at the Virginia Tech Challenge. OUTDOOR- Appeared in three meets... Notched a personal best in the 1500-meter at Fred Hardy Invitational.
2022-23 AS A FRESHMAN
CROSS COUNTRY- Competed in two meets, the Radford Relays and the Lancer Invite. INDOOR- Competed six times... Scored four times and finished on the podium once... Was a member of the distance medley relay team that finished second at the Darius Dixon Memorial Invitational. OUTDOOR- Competed in five meets.
PREP
Attended Auburn High School in Riner, Va. Under the leadership of head coach Alaney Bishop, she played a vital role in the Eagles’ success. A solid year for Lafon helped her capture a fourth-place finish at the 2022 state finals.
Lafon was also a member of Auburn’s basketball and soccer teams. She was the district player of the year for soccer to accompany first-team all-state honors. She was also selected second-team all-state for basketball.
