RADFORD, Va. – Radford fell to Winthrop 3-0 (15-25, 20-25, 15-25) in it women's volleyball regular season finale Sunday afternoon at Peters Hall. The Highlanders will enter next week's Big South Championship with a 9-18 record, while Winthrop moves to 11-18 overall.

Kiley Kent# (Indianapolis, Ind./Warren Central) recorded 23 assists. #
Katelyn Meeks# (Richmond, Va./Mills Godwin), the reigning conference Libero of the Week, led the Highlanders defensively with 11 digs.
After trading points to find themselves deadlocked at 11-11, Winthrop closed the opening set on a 14-4 streak to take an early 1-0 advantage in the match.
In the second set, the Eagles connected on 17 of their 29 attempts (.379) and used a 12-4 run midway through the frame to grab the lead for good and head into the break up two games to none.
Winthrop used a couple of spurts in the final stanza to lead from start to finish en route to its 18th straight victory over the Highlanders.
Kelley Taylor and Shannon Sitzmann led the Eagles with eight kills each. Chrissie Albers and Kelsey Hall finished with 18 and 15 assists, respectively, while Janice Rivera paced Winthrop with a match-high 15 digs.
As a team, Winthrop concluded the contest with a .267 hitting percentage and nine total blocks.
