Radford will begin its four-game eight-day holiday road trip on Tuesday night when it tips off against Towson at 7 p.m. The Highlanders are trying to pick up their first win of season after dropping their first two, including a 78-54 set back at Virginia Tech last Tuesday. The Tigers are coming off a 18-point win in their home opener on Saturday night against Davidson and are off to a 2-0 start under Radford alum Joe Mathews (1991).
Towson holds a 6-2 lead in the series, defeating Radford 65-57 last season, giving the Highlanders their lone non-conference home loss of the season. It also marked the first time the teams met in a non-conference game as the first seven contests took place when the Tigers were a member of the Big South (1992-95).
