Johnette Walker (Columbia, S.C./Irmo) paced Radford with 15 and 13 points respectively.

After taking a 43-42 lead on junior
Charron Leeper's (Cleveland Heights Ohio/Shaw) put back with 5:43 left, Radford was held without a field goal and missed three of six free throws down the stretch. The Mount scored seven straight points to grab a 49-43 lead with 2:07 left.
Radford was able to cut it to three (49-46) on a pair of Walker charity tosses and forced a 30-second violation on the Mount's next possession. Senior
Vandy Pullen (Arlington, Va./Maine) had a chance to make it a one-point game, but missed a pair of crucial free throws with 43.8 seconds left.
With the shot clock winding down (seven seconds) and the Mount 25 feet from the basket, Radford was whistled for a foul with 20.8 second left. Mary Dunn drained both of her chances and would make two more to ice the game with 12 seconds left.
Dunn finished with 11 points and seven rebounds. Brianna Gauthier scored team best 14 points and had four steals.
Behind 10 first half points from Moton, Radford took a 24-22 lead into halftime. It was a tightly contested half, featuring nine lead changes and four ties. The Highlanders held a slight advantage on the glass (21-18) and committed just three turnovers.
Mount St. Mary's took its largest lead (16-12) when Gauthier drained her second three of the half at the 10:56 mark. The Highlanders responded with a 12-3 run over the next eight minutes, giving them their largest lead of the half.
Leeper scored the final five points of that run to put Radford up 24-19 with 2:01 remaining. The Mount scored the final three points to cut the Highlanders' lead to 24-22 going into the break.
After Radford extended its lead to 28-23 in the first minute of the second half, Mount St. Mary's went on an 11-0 run to take a 34-28 at 16:29. Gauthier scored seven points during the run. The Highlanders countered with a 9-0 run, holding the Mountaineers scoreless for over eight minutes to take 40-36 lead with 8:14 on the clock.
The teams traded leads one more time before the Mount's game-winning run.
Radford shot 33 percent and Mount St. Mary's shot 40 percent for the game. Both team struggled from the line with the Highlanders at 54.5 percent and the Mountaineers at 57 percent.
Mount St. Mary's outrebound Radford, 36-32 and were led on the glass by Leah Westbrooks' game-best 12 caroms. Walker pulled down seven to lead the Highlanders.
Radford will hit the books for exams next week and return to action on Friday, Dec. 19 when it host Virginia Commonwealth at 7 pm in Peters Hall.
