RADFORD, Va. - Radford looks to get back on track when it hosts Virginia Commonwealth University, Friday evening at 6 p.m. in Peters Hall. The Rams are coming off a 71-43 home victory over Morgan State on Monday, winning their second straight game and fifth in their last six. Radoslava Bachvarova scored a game and career high 20 points on 8-of-14 shooting, with La'Tavia Rorie and Quanitra Hollingsworth chipping in with 13 and 12 points. VCU also dominated the boards, 50-29, led by eight from Rorie.
This will be the 30th meeting between the squads with the Highlanders holding a 16-13 lead in the series. The Rams have had the edge lately, winning the last six, including a 67-52 triumph on Dec. 8, 2007 in Richmond. Radford is 2-1 against VCU in Peters Hall, winning the final two contests, 90-59 on Feb. 4, 1978 and 69-66 in overtime on Feb. 15, 1978.
