RADFORD, Va. -- Radford returns home for its final non-conference game of the season when it hosts American on Sunday afternoon. The Highlanders are looking to end a three-game slide after falling at Navy, 61-44, on Monday night. Radford jumped out to an early double-digit lead and led at halftime, but Navy came out strong in the second half and controlled play for the rest of the game. Senior

Game Notes
American is coming off its first home loss of the season, 69-54 to Georgetown on Dec. 21 at Bender Arena. Liz Leer led the Eagles, who had their four-game winning streak snapped, with a 12-point, 13-rebound double-double and a team-best four assists.
This will be the second straight season these teams will face off. In the first ever meeting between the schools, Radford defeated American, 58-50, in Washington, D.C. on Dec. 22, 2007.
Corrie Fertitta broke a 50-50 deadlock, draining a three with 1:34 left in the game propelling the Highlanders to the victory.
