Radford women's hoops heads to Asheville, N.C. for a 2 p.m. tilt with conference foe UNC Asheville on Saturday afternoon. The Highlanders (3-11, 2-1 Big South) are coming off a 54-50 road win at Winthrop on Monday and have won two of their first three conference games to start the new year.

Against the Eagles, junior
Davida Dodson (Silver Spring, Md./Eleanor Roosevelt) keyed a 10-3 second half run with eight points, catapulting Radford to a come-from-behind victory over Winthrop. Junior
Kymesha Alston (Hampton, Va./Manhattan) recorded 13 points and a game-high 12 rebounds for her first double-double of the season. In her last three games, all in conference play, she is averaging 14 points and 11.7 rebounds.
The Bulldogs (6-11, 3-1 Big South) have won two straight after a convincing 62-36 win over Big South newcomer Presbyterian at home on Monday night. Jessica Monroe paced UNC Asheville with 11 points and eight rebounds as all 10 players that stepped on the hardwood scored for the Bulldogs. Chioma Okoli and Ana Baker lead UNC offensively at 11.5 and 11.1 points per game, respectively, while freshman Lyndsey Thompson is averaging a team-best 13.3 ppg in conference games.
Radford will face Asheville for the 52nd time, leading the all-time series 38-13. Radford has won three straight after winning all three contests last season. In their last matchup, Radford defeated UNC Asheville, 72-64 in double overtime during the first round of the Big South tournament. Prior the last season, the Highlanders had dropped six straight in the Justice Center where they are 16-9 against the Bulldogs.
