RADFORD, Va. -- Coming off a four-game Big South road swing, the Radford women's basketball team returns to the newly refurbished Dedmon Center on Saturday with a 3 p.m. tip against Coastal Carolina.
Along with their return to the Dedmon Center, it will be the Highlanders' first home game since Jan. 5.
Radford, which is 253-93 all-time in the Dedmon Center, including a 24-4 mark the last two seasons, played its first four home contests of 2008-09 at Peters Hall.
Game Notes
The Highlanders went 2-2 during their road stretch, including their most convincing win of the season, 75-36, at Presbyterian on Monday night. Senior
Johnette Walker (Columbia, S.C./Irmo) came off the bench to score a game-high 19 points and senior
Rachel Morris (Stanley, Va./Page County), making her first collegiate start, netted a career-best 13 points as five Highlanders reached double figures.
Coastal Carolina is playing its first game in a week after picking up a 51-34 road win at Winthrop on Jan. 17. The win snapped a two-game slide for the Chanticleers, who evened their conference record to 2-2.
Saturday's game is the 48th contest between the schools, and Radford holds a 35-12 lead in the series after sweeping last season's meetings. The Highlanders are 21-3 against the Chanticleers in the Dedmon Center, winning last year's contest, 76-58 on Feb. 18.
