COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Despite singles victories from Zack Watson (Harrisonburg, Va./Eastern Mennonite) and Igor Ogrizek (Daruvar, Croatia / Birotechnika Grammar School), No. 68 Radford fell at No. 18 Texas A&M 5-2 in men's tennis action Sunday afternoon at the George P. Mitchell Tennis Center.

Fresh off clinching the Highlanders' thrilling 4-3 victory over nationally-ranked foe Texas A&M Corpus Christi Friday afternoon, Watson ran his singles record to 3-0 on the young campaign with a straight set (6-1, 6-4) win over Austin Klores.

For the first time this season, Radford (2-1) dropped the doubles point and fell behind 1-0. Like three of the Aggies individuals, their top-seeded doubles team of Conor Pollock and Austin Krajicek entered their season opener ranked 34th.

After dropping the opening set 4-6, three-time Big South Player of Year, Martin Sayer (Hong Kong / Sagemont Virtual School), forced a third set with a 7-5 win in the second, but Pollock, who sits 12th nationally, won the third set and the top-seeded dual.

At the second singles match, Radford's Ivan Salec (Oroslavje, Croatia / Oroslavje Secondary School) battled No. 46 Krajicek to a first tiebreak before falling 6-7, 4-6.

The Aggies' Wil Spencer, ranked eighth in the country defeated Stefan Bojic (Novi Sad, Serbia), while Mehdi Benhammou (Rabat, Morocco / Descartes) fell to Marcus Lunt 6-7, 3-6 on court four.

Radford will conclude its three-match swing through the Lonestar State with UT-Arlington Monday.
