Volleyball Concludes Four-Match Road Trip with 3-0 Setback at CSU

CHARLESTON, S.C. –
Charleston Southern found the floor with .315 of its attempts and got 13 kills and 14 digs from Amanda Hill en route to a 3-0 (25-19, 25-11, 25-19) victory over Radford in Big South Volleyball action Saturday at CSU Fieldhouse.

The Highlanders suffer their fourth straight setback falling to 10-12 overall and 1-6 in the league, while CSU improves to 11-9 and 2-3.

Despite the loss, Carly Fleming (Manassas, Va. / Osbourn Park) led Radford with eight kills on 19 attempts for a .316 attack percentage. Freshman Mariah Nussbaum (Dayton, Ohio / Chaminade Julienne) finished just behind Fleming with seven kills, while Desiree Aramburu (Chicago, Ill. / Mother McAuley) contributed her 10th double-double of the campaign with 22 assists and 11 digs.

The Highlanders' Lauren Clary (Roanoke, Va. / Cave Spring) led all players defensively with 17 digs.

To go along with outhitting Radford .315 to .042, Charleston Southern finished with an 11-4 margin in total blocks.

Cori Holeman also hit double-digits for the Buccaneers with 11 kills on 17 swings (.588).

The Highlanders return to the Dedmon Center Tuesday, Oct. 13 when they host North Carolina Central in their final non-conference match of the regular season at 6 p.m.
