RADFORD, Va. – Fresh off leading their high schools to state championships, Emily Carlin (Downington, Pa.) and Jesse Miedema (Huron, Ohio) have signed National Letters of Intent to join the Radford volleyball team in 2010, as announced by second-year head coach Marci Jenkins.

Led Bishop Shanahan to the 2009 Pennsylvania State Championship and their sixth straight conference title… Named MVP of the 2009 PVCA State Championship All-Tournament Team… 2009 Pennsylvania Gatorade Player of the Year nominee… Voted MVP of the Senior Showcase… Three-time all-conference selection… Selected to the PVCA all-state team following her junior campaign… Served as team captain in 2009… Member of the Synergy Volleyball Club team since 2005… Also lettered in basketball and track & field at Bishop Shanahan…
