RADFORD, Va. -- Radford heads to Morgantown, W.Va. on Wednesday, Nov. 2 at 7 p.m. to take on West Virginia in a mid-week road tilt. The Highlanders, still searching for their first win of the season, have a tough road ahead playing seven of their next nine games away from the Dedmon Center.

This will be the second consecutive game in which Radford will be facing a team for the first time in school history. The Highlanders have faced a total of six BIG EAST opponents, stepping on the court with just two original members in Georgetown and Syracuse. Radford has played against Miami and Virginia Tech while members of the BIG EAST and DePaul and Cincinnati when they were with their previous conferences.
It will be the first of two trips to the Mountain State. Radford will head to Marshall on Dec. 31 for a New Year's Eve tilt against the Thundering Herd.
In Radford's last contest, Saadia Doyle's 12-foot jumper from the right elbow with 23 seconds ticks on the clock lifted Howard to a 44-39 come-from-behind victory over the Highlanders, Sunday afternoon from the Dedmon Center. The Bison, who trailed until 1:08 left in the game, outscored Radford, 11-2 in the final 5:28 to earn the victory. Junior
Kaylyn Crosier (South Charleston, W.Va./South Charleston) led the Highlanders with 11 points and seven rebounds.
Crosier has now tallied a career-high 11 points in three of Radford's first four games of the season. She also matched her career-best with the seven rebounds.
West Virginia begins a seven-game homestand against Radford tonight. The Mountaineers are coming off a Nugget Classic Title after a 66-41 defeat of tournament host Nevada on Saturday. The victory extended its winning streak to three games.
Liz Repella and tournament MVP Asya Bussie pace a balanced Mountaineer offense. Repella is averaging a team-best 15.5 points per game while pulling down 7.2 rebounds per contest. Bussie chips in with 13 points and seven rebounds per game. On the glass Corinne Campbell pulls down a team-high 9.8 boards per game.
Radford returns home on Saturday, Dec. 5 to host Southern Virginia at 3 p.m.
