“We came out and played well in the first half,” said head coach Tajama Ngongba. “We executed well on defense and hit shots. However, we came out in the second half and were complacent. We didn't work hard defensively our offense was out of sync, the entire second half.”

Tull finished with 21 points, 19 in the second half, hitting 3-of-6 triples, while Schwagmeyer added 17 points, 14 in the second stanza, and registered 10 rebounds for a double-double. Pam Tolbert led the Lady Bucs with a game-best 23 points.

Junior Kymesha Alston (Hampton, Va./Manhattan) recorded her fourth double-double of the season with 15 points and 10 rebounds for the Highlanders. Sophomore Taleia Moton (Fort Washington, Md./Suitland) chipped in with 11 points.

Each team pulled down 36 rebounds. Radford forced 24 turnovers, winning that battle for the ninth time in 10 games.

Radford used full court defensive pressure to erase an early 7-0 deficit and take a 33-26 lead into halftime. The Highlanders forced 15 Charleston Southern turnovers and scored 14 points off of them. Moton and Walker each tallied eight points for the Highlanders. CSU's Pam Tolbert led all scorers at the break with 13 points.

CSU jumped out to a 7-0 lead 2:30 into the game, getting a quick five points from Kelsey Wasmer. Radford forced four turnovers and Alston scored six points during a 10-0 run put it up 10-7.

Tolbert drained her second straight trifecta to give CSU its last lead (15-14) of the half at 13:03. Junior Davida Dodson (Silver Spring, Md./Eleanor Roosevelt) hit a three of her own at 11:36 putting Radford back in the lead at 17-15.

A 9-1 run, capped off by a Moton triple, gave the Highlanders their largest lead of the half (31-21) with 5:58 remaining, but they would only score two points the rest of the stanza and take their seven-point lead into the lockerroom.
