RADFORD, Va. – Sophomore
Taleia Moton (Fort Washington, Md./Suitland) scored a game-high 17 points and Radford held Presbyterian to just 25 percent from the field as the Highlanders cruised to a 57-35 victory in Big South women's basketball action Saturday afternoon at the Dedmon Center.

Winners of two straight and three of their last four, Radford improves to 9-17 overall and 8-6 in the league, while PC falls to 4-22 and 1-12.
“I was glad that we were able to come out and put a win on the board during my first homecoming,” said head coach Tajama Ngongba. “It was also great to finally meet so many of our women's basketball alumni this weekend.”
Moton, one of two Highlanders in double figures, went 5-of-10 from the field and knocked down all five of her tries from the charity stripe to record her 21st double-digit performance of the campaign. Junior
Kymesha Alston (Hampton, Va./Heritage) was just behind Moton with 15 points and a team-high eight rebounds.
Highlighted by 10 early points, including two three-pointers from Moton, Radford raced out to an 18-8 advantage. The Highlanders held Presbyterian to just 17.4 percent from the field in the first 20 minutes of action to take a 25-14 lead into the break.
To go along with holding the Blue Hose to just 4-of-23 shooting in the first half, Radford limited them to just one field goal in the last 8:04 of the period.
Radford scored the first 11 points of the second stanza and stretched its lead to as many as 29 (49-20) on Alston's layup with just under 10 minutes to play.
“We did a great job in second half,” said Ngongba. “We were focused and had more energy, allowing us to pull away early.”
The Blue Hose's scoring drought carried over into the second frame as their first field goal of the half didn't come until the 11:41 mark.
Radford recorded 15 steals and forced 25 turnovers, which led to 22 points at the other end.
Katlin Moore was the lone Presbyterian player in double figures with 14 points. PC's Chelsea Wright led all players with 10 rebounds.
The Highlanders grabbed 19 offensive boards to end the contest with a 40-34 edge on the glass. Sophomore
Kahealani Vick (Virginia Beach, Va./Princess Anne) tied Alston for game-high honors with a career-best eight caroms.
Radford will continue its three-game homestand to conclude the regular season with a 7 p.m. tip against UNC Asheville Monday evening at the Dedmon Center.
