RADFORD, Va. -- Radford, which sits in a three-way tie for first place in the Big South conference standings, carries a three-game winning streak into a 2 p.m. contest at Coastal Carolina on Saturday afternoon.

The Highlanders (5-11, 4-1 Big South) defeated Presbyterian, 59-34 in their last contest on Monday night to conclude their four-game homestand at 3-1. Coastal Carolina (11-5, 2-2 Big South) has won two straight and are a perfect 7-0 at home this season after downing Winthrop, 59-57, at home on Monday night.
This will be the 50th meeting between Radford and Coastal Carolina. The Highlanders hold a commanding 37-12 advantage in a series that dates back to the first season of Big South competition.
Radford has won the last four meetings and five of the last six, including three straight in Kimbel Arena. Coastal Carolina's last victory in Conway was a 73-61 triumph on Feb. 13, 2006. Last season, the Highlanders won by the scores of 65-56 at home and 67-59 in Conway.
Along with holding Presbyterian to just one first-half field goal, Radford shot a season-high 50 percent and cruised to its third straight win on Monday evening. Radford, which held the Blue Hose to a school-record for lowest points total in a half (5), scored the first 13 points of the contest and stretched its lead to as many as 26 (31-5) on a
Da'Naria Erwin-Spencer (Charlotte, N.C./East Mecklenburg) jumper with 12 seconds remaining in the half.
It was the fewest points allowed by Radford in the first half since holding Liberty to eight on Jan. 21, 2001 and in a game since Jan. 3, 2008 against USC Upstate (34).

Jewell Kinlaw (Madison, Ala./Bob Jones) paced Radford with a team-high 13 points each.
Coastal Carolina welcomes Radford after winning its last two contests against Charleston Southern and Winthrop to remain undefeated at home (7-0).
Sydnei Moss and Amanda Stull pace the Chanticleer offense at 14.3 and 11.3 points per game. Moss leads Coastal Carolina in rebounding (6.1), while Stull shoots a conference-best 54.7 percent from the 3-point line.
Radford concludes its brief two-game road trip to South Carolina on Monday, Jan. 25, with a 7 p.m. contest at Charleston Southern.
