RADFORD, Va. –
Radford goes for its fourth straight Big South win and its 12th in the last 13 regular season league games when the Highlanders host Gardner-Webb on Monday night at the Dedmon Center.

Dating back to a 94-82 double overtime win at Liberty on Jan. 24, 2009 that started a nine-game winning streak, Radford (7-5, 3-0 Big South) has only dropped one Big South regular season contest.

With an 82-74 win over UNC Asheville on Saturday, the Highlanders are off to their first 3-0 conference start since 2000-01, the last time prior to the 2008-09 season that Radford won the Big South regular season crown.

The fast start also has the Highlanders tied at the top of the league standings with Coastal Carolina, which is also 3-0.

Monday's meeting is the fifth all-time with Gardner-Webb (3-9, 0-2), which joined the Big South last season. Radford is in search of its first home win against the Runnin' Bulldogs, a team that has only visited the Dedmon Center one other time (Nov. 17, 2007 – L, 83-93). Last year's home meeting came at Peters Hall, a 91-71 Gardner-Webb win in the Big South opener for both teams on Dec. 4.

Entering Monday's game, the series is tied at 2-2 and Radford is 1-1 against the Runnin' Bulldogs as a Big South member.

After a month's break from league action, Radford used a second half rally fueled by 31 points from Art Parakhouski (Minsk, Belarus), including 16 of the Highlanders' final 26 points, in a win over UNC Asheville. Parakhouski posted his second straight 30-point effort and was perfect from the field (8-for-8) in a half where the Highlanders shot 71 percent.

Among players with 11 or more games this season, Parakhouski is sixth nationally in scoring average (23.6) after his performance on Saturday.

Gardner-Webb is winless through its two Big South contests, falling victim to a late 19-3 High Point run in a 78-68 road loss to the Panthers on Saturday. The loss was the ninth in a row for the Runnin' Bulldogs and came despite a 26 point effort from Grayson Flittner, who averages 10.8 points per game from the guard position.

Like the Highlanders, Gardner-Webb played a challenging non-league schedule that included No. 11 North Carolina, No. 8 Duke and No. 2 Texas.
