RADFORD, Va. – Despite a season-high 15 kills from senior Laura Waddell, Radford fell to Presbyterian, 3-2 (25-18, 15-25, 19-25, 25-21, 15-13), in Big South volleyball action Friday night at the Dedmon Center.

The loss drops the Highlanders to 6-13 and 0-5 in the Big South, while the Blue Hose improve to 9-10, 2-3.

Along with Waddell's double figures, junior Carly Fleming recorded 12 kills, while sophomore Desiree Aramburu charted a game-high 47 assists and 14 digs making that her sixth double-double of the season.

Defensively, freshmen Storm Melnick and Emily Carlin both tallied double-figure digs with 19 and 11, respectively.

As a team, the Highlanders put down 62 kills with a .212 hitting percentage, while the Blue Hose recorded 57 kills (.205) including four attackers in double figures.

Presley Mabrey finished with 18 kills, two services aces and six digs to lead Presbyterian, while setter Kilee Ruppe put up 46 assists.

The Highlanders will return to the court Saturday when they entertain conference-foe Gardner-Webb at 4 p.m. Presbyterian travels to High Point for a 4 p.m. match, Saturday.
