RADFORD, Va. -- The Radford women's basketball team will conclude their early season three-game road swing at George Mason on Friday. The Highlanders look to snap a two-game slide when they face the Patriots at 7 p.m.
In its last contest, Radford fell behind early and never recovered in a 77-46 defeat at Pittsburgh on Sunday.

Brooke McElroy paced the Highlanders with 13 points apiece. McElroy who was 5-for-7 from the field also recorded two of the Highlanders' seven blocks.
This is the first meeting since March 2, 1991 and the 15th overall between the schools. The Highlanders hold an 11-3 lead in the series and are 4-2 in Fairfax. The last time they met in the Patriot Center RU edged GMU, 64-60 on Jan. 31, 1990. Radford is looking for its 200th win (199-137) against Commonwealth schools tonight.
A familiar face will be on the opponent's sideline on Friday. Jeri Porter, Radford's head coach from 2002-08, is in her third season at the helm of the Patriots. Along with Porter, former RU assistants Greg Pulliam, Jana Ashley and Simone Edwards are all in their third season at GMU after joining Porter in 2008.
Radford returns home for its next contest on Monday, Nov. 29 when it host Hampton at 7 p.m.
