RADFORD, Va. --
Coming off a thrilling come-from-behind victory at George Mason, Radford briefly returns to the Dedmon Center to host Hampton on Monday evening at 7 p.m. The Highlanders completed a three-game road swing and evened their record at 2-2 with the 63-56 victory over the Patriots on Friday evening.

Behind 25 second half points from Da'Naria Erwin Spencer and Brooke McElroy and a 31-9 run over the final 10:11, Radford rallied from a 15-point second half deficit to defeat George Mason and snap an early season two-game slide.

During the game-winning run, McElroy put the Highlanders in the lead for good (58-56) after Erwin Spencer picked a GMU pocket and found McElroy on the break for an easy two. Along with a pair of big buckets from McElroy, Erwin Spencer hit five straight free throws to seal the victory.

Erwin Spencer led all scorers with 18 points, 13 in the second half, and also recorded four assists and four steals. McElroy registered her first collegiate double-double of the season with 12 points, all in the second half, and a game-best 10 rebounds. She also tied Erwin Spencer with a game-high four thefts.

This will be the 13th time these teams meet with Hampton holding a 9-3 lead in the series that dates back Dec. 8, 1979. The Pirates won the last meeting, 63-43, on Dec. 23, 2009 at the HU Convocation Center. Radford is 2-3 at home against the Pirates, 1-1 in the Demon Center.

Radford hits the road on Saturday, Nov. 4 for a matchup with Davidson at 4 p.m.
