Scouting the Highlanders
-- Coming off an 86-59 win over Dickinson, Radford will resume Big South play with a 2 p.m. contest at league-favorite Coastal Carolina Friday.
-- The Highlanders enter 3-9 overall and 0-2 in the Big South following their first win in 45 days.

Tolga Cerrah (Ankara, Turkey) recorded his first career double-double (17 points, 10 rebounds) to lead three Radford players in double figures Wednesday.

Blake Smith (Charlotte, N.C. / United Faith Christian Academy) added 16 points to go along with five takeaways and
Gorkem Sonmez (Istanbul, Turkey) poured in 14 points for Radford.
-- Along with forcing 28 turnovers, the Highlanders shot 50 percent for the second straight outing and made 72.1 percent (31-43) of their attempts from the line.
-- Sonmez continues to lead Radford in scoring at 10.3 points per game, while
Johnathan Edwards (Queens, N.Y. / Tyler Junior College) (6.0) paces the club in rebounding.
-- The Highlanders have won three of their last four meetings with Coastal Carolina, including two straight at Kimbel Arena.
-- The most successful team in Big South play the last three years, Radford has won 15 of its last 18 league road games.
-- Radford will conclude its trip to the Palmetto State with a 4:30 p.m. contest at Charleston Southern Sunday afternoon.
Scouting the Chanticleers
-- Winners of eight straight, Coastal Carolina enters 10-2 overall and 1-0 in the Big South following a 125-70 win over Thomas More on Dec. 20.
-- Last year's Big South regular season champion and tournament runner up, the Chanticleers were voted preseason favorites by the league head coaches and media panel, receiving 10 first-place votes.
-- Desmon Holloway leads the Chants in scoring and is second in the league at 18.8 points per outing. Fellow starters Mike Holmes (13.7) and Chad Gray (12.4) are also averaging double figures.
-- Through just three games, Holmes, the reigning Big South Player of the Week, is also pulling down nine rebounds per contest.
-- Coastal Carolina is 40-10 at Kimbel Arena under fourth year head coach Cliff Ellis.
-- As a team, the Chanticleers are shooting just under 50 percent from the floor and 71.1 percent from the charity stripe.
-- In addition to outscoring its opponents by 17 points a game, Coastal owns a +7.0 rebound margin and is committing just 12.5 turnovers per outing.
