Coming off a road defeat at Davidson, the Highlanders (2-4) look to snap a two-game slide, while the Cavaliers (5-4) are coming off a home victory over Drexel on Saturday night.
In their last contest, the Highlanders received 21 points from #Da'Naria Erwin Spencer, but it wasn't enough as Radford fell at Davidson, 71-62 on Saturday evening. A big second half run and 31 points from Sophia Aleksandravicius broke open a tight ball game, sending Radford to it fourth loss in five contests.
Erwin Spencer is averaging 17.3 points per game over the last three contests and is Raford's leading scorer at 14.8 ppg. The reigning Big South Player of the Week has been the Highlanders' leading scorer the last three games and has posted double figures in four of five games played this season.
This is the 13th meeting in the series with the Highlanders holding a slight 7-5 advantage. The Wahoos have won four straight and five of the last six, including 70-35, in the last matchup on Jan. 7, 2004 in Charlottesville.
Radford briefly returns home on Thursday, Dec. 9 when it host Southern Virginia at 7 p.m.
