RADFORD, Va. -- Senior day, Think Pink and homecoming will all be wrapped into one game when Radford hosts Charleston Southern Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m. in the Dedmon Center.

The Highlanders (5-17, 4-7 Big South) are looking to end a six-game losing streak when they face off against the Buccaneers (14-10, 6-5), who have won three straight and five of their last six contests after defeating Coastal Carolina, 72-65 on Feb. 13.
Prior to the contest, Radford will honor its lone senior
Kymesha Alston in a pregame ceremony.
Wearing #23, Alston's career at Radford has spanned three seasons after transferring from Manhattan following the 2005-06 campaign.
During her time in a Highlander uniform, Alston has averaged 9.7 points and 6.1 rebounds per contest. The Hampton, Va. native has also recorded 74 steals and 47 blocks over her 74-game Radford career.
A 2009-10 preseason All-Big South selection, the Hampton, Va. native is currently ranked sixth in scoring, seventh in field goal percentage, eighth in blocks and 11th in rebounding.
This season also marked her career-high performances with 24 points and 11 field goals at High Point, five steals at Marshall and four assists at North Carolina.
Including her freshman year with the Jaspers, Alston will be suiting up for her 100th collegiate game against the Buccaneers. In four seasons, the Heritage High School product has scored 835 points, pulled down 535 rebounds and recorded 101 steals.
Radford, in conjunction with the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA), will be participating in this year's “WBCA Pink Zone” initiative.
The WBCA Pink Zone initiative is a global, unified effort for the WBCA nation of coaches to assist in raising breast cancer awareness on the court, across campuses, in communities and beyond.
The Highlanders and Buccaneers meet for the 55th time with Radford looking for its 40th victory over CSU. Radford leads the series, 39-15 after Charleston Southern won the first meeting, 67-61 on Jan. 25.

Radford rallied from an early 11-point deficit to take a brief two-point lead in the second half. After one more tie, a free throw by Ali Schwagmeyer with 5:10 left gave CSU the lead (52-51) for good. Radford rallied to within one possession three times in the final four minutes, but CSU hit critical free throws to seal the victory.
Alston led the Highlanders with 12 points, seven rebounds and two blocks.
Denay Wood (Bailey's Crossroads, Va./Annandale) and
Victoria Hamilton (St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands/Antilles School) contributed 11 points apiece.
Katie Tull and Kelsey Wasmer paced the Buccaneers with 19 and 18 points, combining for six of CSU's seven three-point field goals.
Radford is coming off an 88-74 defeat at High Point on Monday evening despite career-high 24 points each from Alston and
Da'Naria Erwin Spencer (Charlotte, N.C./East Mecklenburg).
Alston was 11-for-18 from the field and pulled down seven rebounds, while Erwin Spencer was 7-for-17 from the floor and a perfect 8-for-8 from the charity stripe. She also registered six rebounds, a team-best four steals and three assists.
Ashley Buckhannon (Wytheville, Va./George Wythe) was in double figures as well for the Highlanders with 10 points.
Erwin Spencer is second on the team, averaging 9.1 points per contest (12.2 ppg in league games) and also dishes out a team-best three assists per game.
Coming off a 72-65 victory over Coastal Carolina, Charleston Southern has won three straight and five of its last six. The Buccaneers are paced by Tull (16.2 ppg) and Wasmer (12.0 ppg). Tull shoots a conference best 37.2 percent from long range.
The three-pointer is a big part of the Buccaneers' offense as they have hit 210 (8.75 per game) on the season. They also have taken attempted 676 trifectas which attributes for 47 percent of their field goal attempts
Radford hosts Coastal Carolina in its final home contest on Monday, Feb. 22 at 7 p.m. It will be part of Samaritan Feet, a non-profit organization dedicated to changing lives through Shoes of Hope distributions. Head coach
Tajama Abraham Ngongba will coach barefoot to help raise money for this cause.
