PITTSBURGH, Pa. – After nearly three weeks of preseason workouts and practice, third-year head coach
Marci Jenkins and her Radford Highlanders will begin their 2010 volleyball campaign Friday morning in the Robert Morris/Duquesne Tournament in Moon Township, Pa. for the second consecutive year.
Following its 11 a.m. match with Robert Morris, Radford will take on Montana State at 3 p.m. on day one before concluding the season-opening event with matches against Duquesne (11 a.m.) and Lehigh (3 p.m.) Saturday.
Along with the addition of six talented newcomers, the Highlanders return 11 letterwinners (five starters) from last year's club, including 2009 Big South All-Freshman performer
Desiree Aramburu.
Radford finished 2-2 in last year's showing by defeating Howard (3-1) and Loyola (3-2) while Aramburu made the Courtyard by Marriott All-Tournament Team.
