RADFORD, Va. – Despite a season-high 10-kill performance from freshman
Jesse Miedema, Central Michigan topped Radford, 3-0, on day one of the College of Charleston Invitational Friday at Carolina First Arena.
The loss drops the Highlanders 5-6, while the Chippewas improve to 6-5.
Along with Miedema, senior
Kiley Kent recorded a season-high 25 assists.
Junior
Katelyn Meeks also led Radford tallying double-figure digs with 12.
As a team, Central Michigan didn't have trouble finding the floor with an impressive .410 hitting percentage and three attackers in double-figure kills, while holding Radford to 32 kills and a .187 hitting percentage.
The Highlanders return to the court Saturday to take on host College of Charleston at 1 p.m.
