Megan McWhorter recording consecutive double-doubles and earning a spot on the all-tournament team, the Radford volleyball team finished 1-2 in the College of Charleston Invitational Saturday evening at Carolina First Arena.

Despite junior
Megan McWhorter tallying her second double-double of the season, the Radford volleyball team fell to host College of Charleston, 3-1, in the C of C Invite Saturday in the Carolina First Arena.
With the loss, the Highlanders fall to 5-7, while the Cougars improve to 9-4.
To go along with McWhorter's 15 kill, 10 dig performance, juniors
Katelyn Meeks and
Leigh Myers both recorded double-figure digs with 16 and 10, respectively, for Radford.
Senior
Kiley Kent also charted double figures with a season-high 36 assists.
As a team, C of C held Radford to a .141 hitting percentage to clinch the win by recording nine total blocks with its two leading attackers in double-figure kills.

VOLLEYBALL FINISHES C OF C INVITE WITH 3-0 WIN OVER NORTH FLORIDA
Junior
Megan McWhorter led Radford with her third double-double and to a 3-0 (26-24, 25-15, 26-24) victory over North Florida on the final day of the C of C Invite Saturday evening at Carolina First Arena.
The victory improves the Highlanders to 6-7, while the Ospreys fall 2-11.
McWhorter recorded 13 kills and 10 digs for her second double-double in as many as matches, while junior
Katelyn Meeks charted a season-high 25 digs for the Highlanders.
Senior
Kiley Kent also recorded 23 assists and freshman
Jesse Miedema put down eight kills with a .214 hitting percentage.
As a team, the Highlanders capitalized on defense to take the victory by recording 52 digs and seven team blocks, while holding the Ospreys to only 29 kills and a .045 hitting percentage.
Marshay Greenlee was North Florida's leader with nine kills and a .533 hitting percentage.
The Highlanders will travel to to take on James Madison on Tuesday Sept. 21 at 7 p.m.
