RADFORD, Va. --
On the heels of a big road win at Liberty, Radford returns to the Dedmon Center for a season-long four-game homestand, which begins with Presbyterian on Saturday, Jan. 22 at 3 p.m.

Game Notes

The Highlanders (7-11, 4-1 Big South) are currently tied for first place in the Big South with Gardner-Webb, while the Blue Hose (5-11, 2-2) are sitting in fifth place.

On Monday, Radford stormed back from a 15-point second half deficit and upended Liberty, 62-53 at the Vines Center. The Highlanders closed out the final 4:43 with a 20-4 run to snap a 16-game drought in the Vines Center, earning their first win in Lynchburg since Feb. 3, 1996. It also ended an eight-game slide against the Lady Flames.

With 2:40 left and Radford trailing by three, Ashley Buckhannon tied the game (50-50) with a triple, her only field goal of the contest, and then put the Highlanders in the lead for good draining two free throws 20 seconds later. The Highlanders would secure the win hitting all eight of their free throws down the stretch.

One key to Radford's 4-1 start in league play has been its ability to hold onto the ball. The Highlanders are averaging (17.2) five less turnovers per game than they did in non-conference play (22.0), which included a season-low 12 at UNC Asheville on Jan. 3.

Da'Naria Erwin Spencer, who leads the team and is third in the conference at 14.4 points per game, is averaging 20 ppg over a four-game stretch in which she has been the game's leading scorer.

Presbyterian is coming off a 55-40 road win against Winthrop on Monday. The win snapped a three-game slide for the Blue Hose, who also have a league win against Coastal Carolina.

The Blue Hose enter as the top defensive team in Big South play. PC is holding opponents to just 44.8 points per game, 29 percent shooting from the field and 15.6 percent from three-point land. Overall they are in the top half of the league in opponents' points per game (55.1), field goal percentage (.361) and three-point percentage (.250).

Radford continues its home stretch on Monday, Jan. 24 hosting Charleston Southern at 7 p.m.
