PREGAME NOTES
-- Radford will play its next three at home beginning with a 7 p.m. contest against conference-foe Charleston Southern Thursday evening.

-- Looking to end a four-game losing streak, the Highlanders enter 4-15 overall and 1-8 in the Big South following a 67-61 loss at Presbyterian.

-- Radford led by as many as eight on several occasions, but the Blue Hose closed the contest on a 19-5 run to record their first win over the Highlanders since joining the league in 2008-09.

-- Despite the setback, Radford matched its season-high shooting 50 percent, while sophomore Blake Smith (Charlotte, N.C. / United Faith Christian Academy) led the club with 13 points.

-- Smith continues to lead the conference in steals averaging 2.5 per game, which is also good enough for 15th in the nation.

-- Gorkem Sonmez (Istanbul, Turkey) is the lone Highlander averaging double figures at 10.2 points per outing, while Johnathan Edwards (Queens, N.Y. / Tyler Junior College) and Tolga Cerrah (Ankara, Turkey) are grabbing more than five rebounds a game.

-- The Highlanders have won 14 of the last 15 against Charleston Southern at the Dedmon Center, including a pair of overtime contests a year ago.

-- Radford will continue its homestand with a 6 p.m. televised contest against first-place Coastal Carolina Saturday at the Dedmon Center.

SCOUTING THE BUCCANEERS
-- Charleston Southern comes into the 63rd meeting 11-10 overall and 5-4 in the Big South following consecutive losses at Gardner-Webb and UNC Asheville.

-- Jamarco Warren, who ranks ninth on the Big South's all-time scoring list, leads the Buccaneers averaging just under 17 points per outing. In addition to ranking fourth in the conference in scoring average, the senior guard also ranks among league leaders in free-throw percentage (1st / .872), steals (8th / 31), 3-point field-goal percentage (2nd / .378), assists per game (T-12th / 2.8) and 3-pointers made (1st / 54).

-- Kelvin Martin, who ranks second in the league in rebounding (9.0), and Jeremy Sexton are also averaging double figures for Charleston Southern, contributing 11.6 and 10.1 points per game, respectively.

-- As a team, the Buccaneers rank near or at the top of the Big South in scoring margin (3rd / +7.5), free-throw percentage (1st / .747), field-goal percentage (2nd / .453), 3-point field-goal percentage (2nd / .359), 3-point field-goal percentage defense (1st / .299), rebounding margin (3rd / +3.6), steals per game (T-2nd / 9.5) and turnover margin (3rd / +2.19).

-- Charleston Southern, which defeated the Highlanders 73-58 earlier this season in Charleston, has dropped 14 of its last 15 games at the Dedmon Center.
