-- After playing four of its last five on the road, Radford returns to the Dedmon Center for a three-game homestand beginning with a 7 p.m. contest against High Point Saturday.
-- Radford, which has dropped 11 of its last 12 games, enters 3-11 overall and 0-4 in the Big South Conference following a 73-58 loss at Charleston Southern.
-- Despite the setback,
Gorkem Sonmez (Istanbul, Turkey) poured in a career-high 21 points, including a 10-of-14 showing at the charity stripe.
Tolga Cerrah (Ankara, Turkey) also contributed double digits for the third time this season with 13.
-- Sonmez continues to lead Radford in scoring at 10.5 points per game, while Cerrah (5.6) paces the club in rebounding.
-- The Highlanders lead the all-time series with High Point, 16-13, which includes a 10-3 mark at home.
-- Radford will enjoy a five-day break before entertaining in-state/league-foe VMI Thursday at 7 p.m.
High Point Pregame Notes
-- High Point returns three starters and nine letterwinners from last year's team that finished 15-15 overall and 10-8 in the Big South.
-- The Panthers, who have dropped five straight, all on the road, enter 5-8 overall and 2-2 in the conference following a 79-63 setback at Wake Forest Wednesday evening.
-- Big South Preseason Player of the Year Nick Barbour leads the team in scoring at 13.8 points per outing. Barbour, who entered the season shooting 37.3 percent for his career from behind the 3-point arc, is shooting just 27.3 percent on the year.
-- Backcourt mate Shay Shine (12.7 ppg) is also averaging double figures, while Corey Law (8.1 rpg) leads the club in rebounding.
-- Du'Vaughn Maxwell is tied for third in the conference in blocks per game averaging 1.4 a contest.
-- The 30th all-time meeting with the Highlanders will conclude a seven-game road swing for High Point.
-- Like Radford, the Panthers have struggled on the offensive end of the floor. High Point is shooting just over 40 percent overall and under 30 percent from long range.
Bulk of the Minutes
As a team, Radford has played 2800 minutes through 14 contests this season. The Highlander freshmen have combined for 1152 of those minutes, which accounts for 41.1 percent of the playing time, while the sophomore trio of

Evan Faulkner (Sandy Hook, Ky. / Elliott County) and Sonmez have totaled 992 minutes (35.4 percent).
Challenging Non-Conference Slate
Despite its 3-11 overall record, Radford has played one of the more challenging non-conference schedules. This season, the Highlanders' non-conference Division I opponents have a combined 68-32 record (.680). A year ago, Radford's non-conference schedule ranked fourth in the nation according to the 2009-10 Pomeroy College Basketball Ratings.
