RADFORD, Va. --
Radford women's basketball returns to the Dedmon Center to host Gardner-Webb in a Big South matchup, Saturday, Jan. 8 at 3 p.m. Coming off a league-opening win at UNC Asheville on Monday, the Highlanders look to take momentum from that victory as they entertain the Runnin' Bulldogs, a winner in their Big South opener as well.

Game Notes

Against UNCA, senior Kaylyn Crosier dropped in a career and game-high 20 points and Radford shot a season-best 53 percent in an 81-69 triumph on Monday night. Crosier, who was 9-of-14 from the field, led four Highlanders in double figures.

In the victory, Radford also posted season-bests in points, assists (21) and field goals (34), while registering a season-low in turnovers (12) and recording its first positive assist/turnover ratio (+9) this season.

Erica Rivera, who was one of the four double figure scorers at UNCA, has tallied as season-high 11 points in three of her last four games.

When the teams battle on Saturday, it will be the eighth meeting in the series, with Gardner-Webb holding a slim 4-3 advantage after the teams split last season. In 2009-10, both squads won on the road with the Highlanders' victory the only blemish on the Bulldogs' regular season Big South schedule.

Coming off a 67-51 victory over Charleston Southern on Monday, Gardner-Webb has won seven of its last nine games. The contest against the Buccaneers also ended a season-long six-game homestand, making Saturday the Runnin' Bulldogs first road game since Dec. 5, 2009.

Radford wraps up a brief two-game homestand on Monday, Jan. 10 when it hosts High Point at 7 p.m.
