BOX SCORE

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – Fueled by a monstrous game-three comeback, Radford Volleyball defeated Gardner-Webb, 3-1, and clinched third place in the Big South regular-season finale for both squads.

The Highlanders (15-14, 9-5 Big South) will be the third seed at next week's Big South Tournament and will face sixth-seeded High Point, which tied for fifth with Campbell, but were swept by the Camels in the regular season. The match versus the Panthers will be the nightcap, starting at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 17 at Charleston Southern.

Of Radford's nine service aces, three of them came on the each of its set-clinching points.

Freshman Rachel Brummitt (Plano, Texas/Plano West) finished the night with 26 digs, her 17th 20-dig effort and she is now just nine digs shy of breaking Rachel Newton's single-season mark of 617. 20 of her digs came in the final two sets, including 13 in set four.

Deininger posted 12 kills and three block assists, while Carlin chipped in with seven kills and 11 digs.

Carol Solano and Tyler Cockrell paced the Bulldogs with 14 and 13 kills with Heather Feldman dishing out a match-high 46 assists.
