RADFORD, Va. – After a month away from the Dedmon Center, Radford women's basketball returns home to conclude the non-conference portion of their schedule with a 5 p.m. contest against Davidson on Thursday.
THE OPENING TIP
♦ Despite being held to only four points at Virginia,
Da'Naria Erwin Spencer (Charlotte, N.C./East Mecklenburg) continues to lead the Highlanders in scoring and is second in the Big South at 17.7 points per contest. She has posted double figures in 18 of her last 20 games and has four outings of 20-plus points this season.
Ashley Buckhannon (Wytheville, Va./George Wythe), who shares the starting backcourt with Erwin Spencer, averages 13.7 points per game.
♦ Prior to Virginia,
Victoria Hamilton (St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands/Antilles School) recorded three straight double-figure rebound games and nearly hit her season average (7.6) against the Cavaliers when she collected 7.
♦ Radford ranks first in the Big South in free throw shooting at a 74 percent clip (136-183).
LAST TIME OUT
♦ Buckhannon gave Radford its only lead at Virginia by scoring all 8 points in an 8-0 run to begin the game. She finished with 14 points, while Hamilton charted 10 points and 7 rebounds in the loss against the Cavaliers.
SCOUTING THE WILDCATS
♦ Davidson (6-4, 3-0 SoCon) comes into Dedmon riding a four-game winning streak, three of which were SoCon opponents and a 80-65 win over Winthrop began the streak. On the road this season, the Wildcats are 1-4.
♦ Sophia Aleksandravicius leads the way in scoring at 15.4 per game and reached 1,000 points Monday against Georgia Southern. In addition to her offensive output, Aleksandravicius pulls down a team-best 8.6 rebounds per outing. Laura Murray also chips in with 12.8 points per game.
♦ Davidson is connecting on 44 percent of its attempts from the field. Furthermore, 58 percent of its field goal makes have been assisted.

Get to the Line...The Highlanders lead the Big South in team free-throw percentage at 74 percent (136-183), which also ranks 40th in the nation. Buckhannon is ranked 91st with a 82.9 percent clip.
