GAME NOTES | LIVE STATS | LIVE AUDIO | LIVE VIDEO

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.
Looking to repeat the upset performance in their last meeting, Radford women's basketball will take on ACC-foe Wake Forest Wednesday afternoon at Lawrence Joel Coliseum with a noon tip.

Location: Winston-Salem, N.C.
Arena: Lawrence Joel Coliseum (14.655)
Series Record: WF leads 5-3

THE SERIES
♦ Wake Forest holds the all-time edge, 5-3. The last time the two teams met on the hardwood (Dec. 16, 2007), Radford downed the Demon Deacons 52-44 at the Coliseum.

LAST TIME OUT
Sarah Tabb (Chesapeake, Va./StoneBridge School) recorded her first career double-double against Longwood on Saturday.  All 11 points and 10 of her 11 total rebounds came in the second half.  She is one of three active players with a double-double to her credit.
♦ Despite a 15-0 deficit to start the game, Radford battled back to out-score the Lancers in the second half, but ultimately fell for the second straight game.
Da'Naria Erwin Spencer (Charlotte, N.C./East Mecklenburg) had a game-high 19 points while Ashley Buckhannon (Wytheville, Va./George Wythe) tallied 12.

THE OPENING TIP
♦ Radford is looking to win its first road game in the month of December since 2007 when it defeated American University, 58-50 on Dec. 22.  The Highlanders are 34-88 all-time in December road contests.
♦ Taking advantage of turnovers has been important as Radford has forced 148 miscues (24.7) in six games leading to 148 points.  The Highlanders hold a 148-82 advantage in that category and haven't lost a turnover battle all season.  Radford holds a 7.3 turnover margin (20th/NCAA) while Wake Forest is fourth in the nation at 10.71.
♦ Erwin Spencer continues to lead the Highlanders in scoring at 18.8 per contest.  She has posted double figures in 11 straight games (14 of last 16).  At this pace, she would hit 1,000 points in her career by the UNC Asheville matchup on Jan. 30.  Buckhannon is just behind Erwin Spencer at 15.7 points per contest.

SCOUTING THE DEMON DEACONS
♦ Wake Forest has played at the cozy confines of Lawrence Joel Coliseum in six of its first seven games to open the season.
♦ The Demon Deacons have put up 80 or more points in five of their six wins and have only fallen to Kansas by one, 74-73, in mid-November.
♦ Wake Forest's two leading scorers, Chelsea Douglas (12.1) and Asia Williams (10.3), have come off the bench in every contest.  In addition, three other players, Secily Ray (9.9), Lakevia Boykin (8.9) and Sandra Garcia (8.9) provide a balanced offensive attack.
♦ Much like Radford (14.5 spg, 13th/NCAA), Wake Forest averages 17.1 steals per game (3rd/NCAA), but the Demon Deacons are being out-rebounded by 6 boards while Radford holds a 5.7 advantage over its opponents on the glass.
