-- Radford will continue its stretch of six out of seven on the road to conclude the regular season with a 1 p.m. tip at VMI Saturday.
-- The Highlanders enter the 35th meeting 5-19 overall and 2-12 in the Big South following a 79-71 loss at in-state / league-rival Liberty Thursday evening.

Jareal Smith (Savannah, Ga.), the reigning Big South Freshman of the Week, paced Radford with a game-high 21 points on 8-of-15 shooting, including four 3-pointers. Over his last three contests, Smith is averaging 20.3 points per game, while hitting 44 percent (20-45) of his attempts from the floor and 50 percent (6-12) beyond the arc.
-- As a team, Radford is shooting 45.8 percent (22-48) from behind the 3-point line over its last three games.

Blake Smith (Charlotte, N.C. / United Faith Christian Academy) continues to lead the Highlanders on the defensive end averaging 2.6 steals per game, which ranks 13th in the nation.
-- Both the Smiths and
Gorkem Sonmez (Istanbul, Turkey) are averaging nine points per outing, while
Johnathan Edwards (Queens, N.Y. / Tyler Junior College) (5.5) and

SCOUTING THE KEYDETS
-- VMI comes into the contest 13-11 overall and 6-8 in league play after defeating High Point, 87-74, Thursday night at Cameron Hall.
-- The Keydets lead the nation in scoring (91.1) and 3-pointers per contest (11.4), while ranking tied for ninth with conference-foe UNC Asheville in steals per game (9.4).
-- VMI is a perfect 5-0 when scoring at least 100 points and 9-1 on the year when hitting the 90-point plateau.
-- Stan Okoye and preseason all-conference selection Austin Kenon lead the club in scoring averaging 17.7 and 17.5 points per outing, respectively, which also ranks second and third in the Big South.
-- Okoye also ranks third among conference leaders in rebounding, pulling down 8.5 per contest.
-- Keith Gabriel (15.6), Rodney Glasgow (10.9) and Ron Burks (10.2) are also contributing better than 10 points a game for the Keydets.
-- 46.5 percent of VMI's field goal attempts come from behind the 3-point line.
-- In addition to ranking at or near the top of the Big South in just about every offensive category, the Keydets lead the league in steals and blocks per game.
