RADFORD, Va. -- Radford women's basketball looks to get back on track Saturday at 3:00 p.m. when it hosts first-place Liberty at the Dedmon Center in a battle of the top two teams in the Big South standings. Along with the one-two matchup, this contest is the annual
Pink Zone game as well as Senior Day.

Kaylyn Crosier,
Ciara Hayes,
Brooke McElroy and
Denay Wood prior to tip-off.
Also, fans are encouraged to wear pink to the game and those who do can purchase a ticket for just $3.
The last time these two teams met on "senior day" in the Dedmon Center as two of the top squads in the league, Radford ended a 15-game losing streak against the Lady Flames with a convincing, 77-54 victory on March 3, 2007. The win pushed the Highlanders into the second spot on the final day of the regular season.
The Highlanders look to bounce back after dropping its second straight game, a 55-54 defeat at Coastal Carolina on Monday. The red-hot Lady Flames enter on a seven-game winning streak with their only loss in league play coming at the Vines Center against the Highlanders on Jan. 17.
Radford, in conjunction with the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA), will be participating in this year's “WBCA Pink Zone” initiative.
The
WBCA Pink Zone initiative is a global, unified effort for the WBCA nation of coaches to assist in raising breast cancer awareness on the court, across campuses, in communities and beyond.
In its last game, Radford saw Coastal Carolina rally from as much as 11 down to comeback and edge the Highlanders, 55-54, in Conway.
Victoria Hamilton led the Highlanders with 13 points, four rebounds and three steals, while McElroy matched a career-high with 15 boards.
This will be the 55th meeting between the Highlanders and Lady Flames. Liberty leads the all-time series, 30-24 after Radford won the last matchup, 62-53 in Lynchburg.
In the first meeting, a game-ending 20-4 run, allowed Radford to storm back from a 15-point second half deficit and end a 16-game losing streak at Liberty when it defeated the Lady Flames, 62-53 on Jan. 17.
Da'Naria Erwin Spencer led the Highlanders with 15 points. She and
Ashley Buckhannon clinched the victory going 10-for-10 from the line in the final 2:20. Buckhannon tallied nine points all in the final 2:40 of the contest.
The Highlanders wrap up play at the Dedmon Center on Monday when they host Winthrop at 7 p.m.
