Pregame Notes
-- Radford will begin its final conference weekend of the 2010-11 season with a 7 p.m. contest at Gardner-Webb Thursday evening.

-- The Highlanders enter the eighth all-time meeting 5-22 overall and 2-14 in the league.

-- Looking to end a five-game slide, including an 84-52 setback at William & Mary over the weekend, Radford has never lost at Porter Arena.

-- Despite the loss, Jareal Smith (Savannah, Ga. / Johnson) paced the Highlanders with a game-high 18 points, while Tolga Cerrah (Ankara, Turkey) recorded his third double-double of the season with 11 points and 15 rebounds.

-- Smith, Radford's leading scorer at 9.3 points per outing, is averaging 16.7 points and 4.3 rebounds over the last seven contests.

-- Smith is also on pace to become the first freshman in school history to lead the team in scoring.

-- Cerrah, who leads the club in rebounding (6.0), is averaging 12 rebounds per contest dating back to the Highlanders' contest at VMI.

-- Defensively, Radford is led by sophomore Blake Smith (Charlotte, N.C. / United Faith Christian Academy), who is tops in the conference in steals per game, averaging 2.5, which ranks 12th in the nation.

-- The Highlanders will conclude their 2010-11 season with a 2 p.m. contest at UNC Asheville Saturday.

Scouting the Runnin Bulldogs
-- Under the direction of first-year head coach Chris Holtmann, Gardner-Webb enters 9-20 overall and 4-12 in the league following a 72-61 setback at Charleston Southern Tuesday evening.

-- The Bulldogs are in the midst of playing four games in seven days to conclude the regular season.

-- Gardner-Webb's upset win at top-seeded Coastal Carolina on Feb. 15 eliminated the Highlanders from postseason play.

-- Jon Moore, who missed six games earlier this season due to injury, is the lone Bulldog in double figures averaging 13.6 points per game.

-- Josh Henley (6.3) leads the club in rebounding, while freshman Luke Davis is handing out 4.1 assists per game, which ranks fourth in the Big South.

-- Seven of Gardner-Webb's 20 losses have come by five points or less.
