
MEN’S GOLF FINISHES SECOND OUT OF 24 TEAMS AT C&F BANK INTERCOLLEGIATE

FINAL RESULTS
WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The Radford men's golf team finished runner up out of 24 teams behind a pair of fourth-place individual showings by junior Michael Wade and freshman Matt Harman at the C&F Bank Intercollegiate on Tuesday.
In the final round, the Highlanders shot a 286 (-2), the best team round on the day and second best in the tournament. The only higher team score in a round came from tournament champion, James Madison.
“I am really proud of how we stepped up and finished with a strong closing round,” commented head coach Mike Grant. “We are really coming together as a team.”
Wade (73-70=143, -1) and Harman (73-70=143, -1) carded identical two-under 70 final rounds to finish in a tie for fourth out of 126 competitors. Alongside their career-best finishes, Wade added eight birdies on his scorecard while Harman charted a four-under on par-5's.
Senior Lane Hite recorded another top-20 performance (T16), shooting a one-over 73 and was two-over 146 in the two-day competition.
Rounding out the Highlander competitors were Paul Woodson and Weston Eklund, who finished the tournament tied for 39th with a five-over 149.
Hite and Woodson each recorded an eagle in the competition.
