RALEIGH, N.C. -- Radford volleyball posted a 3-0 victory (25-20, 25-17, 25-18) at North Carolina Central on Tuesday evening. Senior
Carly Fleming (Manassas, Va./Osbourne Park) led the Highlanders (5-9), hitting .600 with seven kills to go along with a match-best three solo blocks and four block assists.
Freshman
Rachel Wiechecki (Wilmington, Del./Ursuline Academy) recorded a team-high 10 kills with five digs, while senior
Leigh Myers (Baton Rouge, La./Dunham School) posted a match-high 18 assists.
Wiechecki sparked a game-one rally with the final three kills of a 7-0 game-closing run as Radford posted a 25-20 triumph.
In game two, Radford raced out to an 8-2 lead only to see the Eagles (1-13) rally for an 11-10 advantage. With the score knotted at 15-apiece, the Highlanders closed out the game with a 10-2 run.
Game three saw the Highlanders jump out to a 9-2 advantage and lead from start to finish to clinch the match. NCCU would make it a 20-17 contest, but Radford ended the match on a 5-1 spurt.

Emily Carlin (Downington, Pa./Bishop Shanahan) and freshman
Rachel Brummitt (Plano, Texas/Plano West) registered eight and seven digs, respectively.
Radford returns home this weekend for a pair of Big South matches against Gardner-Webb on Friday at 7 p.m. and UNC Ashville on Saturday at 4 p.m.
