VOLLEYBALL CLASHES WITH HIGH POINT, CAMPBELL FOR HALL OF FAME WEEKEND

RADFORD, Va. –
After splitting Big South contests last weekend, the Radford volleyball team returns home for Hall of Fame Weekend, entertaining High Point on Friday at 7:00 p.m. and Campbell on Saturday at 4:00 p.m.
 
The Highlanders hooked up with the Panthers three times last season, claiming two of those meetings. The last encounter came in the quarterfinals of the Big South Tournament where RU swept High Point. Radford blanked the Fighting Camels in 2011, winning 3-1 in Buies Creek, N.C. and 3-2 in Radford.
 
SCOUTING THE PANTHERS
♦  The 35th meeting all-time between High Point and Radford will take place Friday. The Highlanders lead the series, 22-12.
 
♦  The Panthers are led by Courtney Johnk with 3.20 kills per set and Chelsea Davis with 2.91 kills per set. Johnk has also contributed a team-high 31 aces this year. Maddie Simpson is the lead setter for HPU, assisting on 608 attacks thus far. Annemarie Chin puts out 3.34 digs per set, while Jamie McDonald blocks over one attack per set.
 
SCOUTING THE FIGHTING CAMELS
♦  Saturday's encounter will mark the 17th meeting all-time between Campbell and the Highlanders – RU leads 14-2.
 
♦  Jessica Groen puts down 2.28 kills per set to lead the Camels. Heather Wilson has amassed 580 assists for the season, while Mallorie Cubillos is credited with 4.45 digs per set. Sam Zuber has served up a team-high 27 aces through 20 matches.
 
LAST TIME OUT
♦  Emily Carlin and Yacine Meyer each recorded double-doubles, but the Radford volleyball team fell to Gardner-Webb on Saturday afternoon, 3-1 (22-25, 24-26, 25-18, 17-25), inside Paul Porter Arena.
 
♦  Carlin charted a season-high 13 kills and 16 digs to chart her third double-double of the season for the Highlanders. Meyer notched her second consecutive double-double with 10 kills and 12 digs.
 
♦  Katelyn Meeks contributed a match-high 24 digs, while Emily Hayes had three aces. Meeks moves past Rachel Newton into second all-time in digs at Radford with 1,306 for her career. Christine Beckham (22) and Jena Braden (21) combined for 43 assists.
 
ON DECK
♦  Radford heads to Greensboro, N.C. for its final non-conference contest against N.C. A&T. The sixth meeting between the Aggies and the Highlanders is slated for 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
