MATCH NOTES  |  LIVE STATS  |  @RUGameDay

RADFORD, Va. –
The Radford volleyball team embarks on a three-match road swing beginning on Tuesday with a contest in Greensboro, N.C. against N.C. A&T. The contest with the Aggies, which is slated for 6:00 p.m., is the final non-conference tilt of the season for the Highlanders.

SCOUTING THE AGGIES
♦  RU owns a 5-0 lead in the series with the Aggies heading into Tuesday's sixth meeting between the two squads. A&T will be looking for its first win of the year when the Highlanders invade Greensboro Tuesday. The contest marks the final tilt of a six-match homestand for the MEAC member.

♦  The Aggies are led by Aleena McDaniel with 2.17 kills per set. A&T are led by Chelsea Fox (366) and Ali Way (216) in the assists category. Brooke Stamnes is credited with 38 aces on the season. Ashley Johnson has racked up 3.66 digs per set and Andrea Evans rejects nearly one attack per set to lead the Aggies defensively.

♦  A&T lost its last time out to MEAC foe Florida A&M, 3-0. Set scores were 17-25, 17-25, and 14-25.

LAST MEETING WITH N.C. A&T
♦  Behind a season-high .465 attack percentage, Radford volleyball posted a three-game sweep (25-12, 25-8, 25-13) of North Carolina A&T, Oct. 4, 2011 from the Dedmon Center.

♦  Six different Highlanders recorded .500 or better attack percentages led by Rachel Wiechecki, who tallied a match-best 13 kills (.522) with just one error. She also added six digs, four block assists and three aces.

LAST TIME OUT
♦  Radford rebounded nicely after Friday night's result by taking down Campbell, 3-0 (25-21, 25-18, 25-14), on Saturday evening inside the Dedmon Center.

♦  The Highlanders improved to 11-10 overall, 2-3 in Big South play with the victory. The Camels fell to 7-15 for the season and remain the only squad to not have a league win on its resume.

♦  After her career-high 21 kills against High Point, Emily Carlin put down a match-high 10 kills Saturday to lead RU. Christine Beckham (15) and Jena Braden (14) combined for 29 assists in the match. Katelyn Meeks sparked the defensive efforts with a match-high 15 digs.

ON DECK
♦  Radford continues its three-match road swing in the Palmetto State with a Friday date with Coastal Carolina at 7:00 p.m.

YA DIG?
♦  Katelyn Meeks certainly knows how to as she was selected Big South Co-Defensive Player of the Week last month. The honor was the senior's third accolade from the league office in her stellar career.

♦  As for her ascent to the top of the career digs chart, Meeks passed Rachel Newton for second place at Radford in that category with 1,306 at Gardner-Webb. Meeks' career total sits at 1,346, 32 from first place, which is occupied by Lauren Clary with 1,378 digs.

♦  Meeks has also made a name for herself behind the service line, racking up 97 aces during her career. The 97 aces rank fourth in Radford volleyball history.

WELCOME TO THE BLOCK PARTY
♦  Emma Deininger has picked up right where she left off in her freshman campaign, climbing up the career record charts for blocks. The sophomore middle blocker is currently fifth in program history with 156 block assists. Deininger ranks fifth in total blocks with 175 thus far in her career.

♦  Jesse Miedema has climbed into the Top-10 for block assists and total blocks in her junior year. The Huron, Ohio native is tied for ninth in block assists (135) and ranks 10th in total blocks (145).

LET ME HELP YOU WITH THAT
♦  Sophomores Christine Beckham and Jena Braden will no doubt leave Radford as two of the program's greatest setters as both rank in the Top-6 in assists for a career. Beckham has accumulated 917 in her two years, while classmate Braden is credited with 712.
